about

Pontus Snibb sure knows his trade. Despite his young age he masters the handicraft. He can play anything from hardcore country and americana to classic rock ’n’ roll and even heavy metal. And the blues of course. But Pontus Snibb uses his skill and deep knowledge of music to create something else. Something that is very obvious on ”Admiral Street Recordings”, the second solo album by Pontus Snibb.,

The acoustic singer/songwriter-rock from the first solo effort ”Lost & Found” is still an important part, but this time Pontus adds soul, country, blues and pure rock ‘n’ roll. Listen to the the first single track, ”So The Story Goes”, a duet with Jason Ringenberg of Jason & The Scorchers fame, the rocking ”Multiple Personalities” or the brilliant ”Oh Ranita”. You can hear that Pontus Snibb has learned his musical lesson, but also that he uses his knowledge to create some highly entertaining music of his own here and now.

Pontus Snibb was born in the mid seventies, but he’s already a veteran in Swedish music. He made his first album in 1999 with the Mescaleros, a Swedish band that eventually changed their name to Snibb. Over the years he’s made five albums and countless tours with the Mescaleros/Snibb. And as a guitarist/drummer he’s played with Jason & The Scorchers, Eric Bibb, Charlie Musselwhite, Kevin Welch, Brady Blade, Angela Strehli, Mason Ruffner, Kim Wilson, Buddy Miller, Spooner Oldham, Dan Penn, Johnnie Allen, Diz Watson and a long list of Scandinavian stars.
